Principal's Message

As a former Bush Blue Devil (1986-1992), Bush Elementary always has and always will hold a special place in my heart. My family has a long history with Bush dating all the way back to my grandfather who graduated from Bush High School. Most of my family members, including my husband, father in-law, mother, two sisters, six aunts, four uncles and numerous cousins attended Bush spanning the past 80+ years. September 20th High Attendance Day!

Attendance HERO

Thursday, September 20th, has been designated state-wide as “High Attendance Day” for Kentucky schools.  This day highlights the importance of regular school attendance and the correlation between attendance and student performance.  Students who attend class regularly are more likely to keep up with their daily lessons, assignments, and academic achievement.

Awards will be distributed statewide based on each individual school’s attendance percentage.  The school in each category (elementary, middle and high) with highest percentage attendance for that day will be awarded $500!

Let’s strive for 100% attendance on Thursday, September 20th and everyday!
