Upon returning to school from an absence, a student must present a written excuse within 2 school days.

Students can have 8 days per school year excused by parent note.

3 unexcused days from school is considered truant and will result in a letter from the principal.

6 unexcused days from school will result in a final notice from DPP and possible further action.

Students who are tardy without valid excuse on 3 or more days are considered truant.

Medical and dental appointments for partial day absences will only be excused by verification of a slip from doctor’s office confirming the date and time of the appointment.
