Welcome to the Laurel County School District! We are located on Interstate-75 in the south central part of the state in London, Kentucky.

Our Mission is “to prepare students for success by pro viding a quality education”

Our District is comprised of eleven elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and two alternative learning facilities. Our enrollment is more than 9,000 students and we're continuing to grow!

A quartet of students from the North Laurel High School Chamber Choir sang the "Star Spangled Banner" for opening session of the quarter finals of the Girls Basketball State Tournament on Friday March 5 at Western Kentucky University.  The students were selected based on a recorded audition submitted to the KHSAA.  Members selected were:  Julia Brewer, Hannah Gray, Cassidy Sibert and Celia Stidham.  The choir director is Sue Wright.

Laurel County Superintendents and Board Members celebrated
Read Across America Week
by visiting several schools and reading to students. 

 

STLP Students from Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary gave a presentation to Board Members on Monday, February 22. The presentation included footage of sight word and number video’s that the group prepares to be used in the primary program and school tour video’s for new students. 

 

First Grade Students from Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary gave a presentation on the Solar System to Board Members on Monday, February 22, 2010.
