Welcome to Johnson Elementary, home of the Eagles. Our principal is Mrs. Jamie Gilliam, a lifelong Laurel County resident. Mrs. Gilliam received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Eastern Kentucky University and a graduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Educational Leadership. Accelerated Reading Olympics Accelerated Reading Olympics

The Accelerated Reading Olympics will begin on February 1st and end on February 23rd.  The three students in each classroom in grades 1-5 that have the most Accelerated Reading Points with an 85% average will win a medal.  Good luck and let the games begin!!

Book Fair Book Fair

You are invited to stop by and shop at our Book Fair on Monday, February 26th through Thursday, March 1st.  You can shop with your child every morning from 7:40 A.M. - 8:15 A.M.  as well as during Breakfast With Parents and Grandparents. We will also be having a Family Event on Friday, February 23rd  at 3:40 P.M.  If you attend the Family Event, your child will have his/her name entered in a drawing for $100 worth of free books and other prizes.


The Johnson Elementary Site Based Decision Making Council meets every second Thursday of each month at 4:00 P.M.

foundation for our students to succeed in school, in careers, and in their
