Lexington Legends

Congratulations to Jazmin Duncan for being runner-up in the Lexington Legends Hit The Books Bookmark Contest! Students from seventy five schools across Kentucky participated in this event.


Summer Reading

You are invited to bring your child to Summer Reading on June 11, June 15, June 22, June 29, July 9 and July 13.  Reading will be from 9:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.  Students entering first grade must have a parent present with them.  Accelerated Reading points earned during Summer Reading will count toward the 2015-2016 school year.


Summer Vacation

Summer break will begin on May 29th and will end on August 5th.  Have a great summer!


Science Fair

Congratulations to the following students for placing in the Science Fair:

These students will represent Johnson Elementary at the Laurel County Science Fair.


District Governor's Cup Champions!

Congratulations to the Johnson Elementary Academic Team!!!  They were KAAC District 107 Governor's Cup Quick Recall and Overall Champions.  The results from individual individual competitions are as follows:  
Gavin Tincher-2nd Place in Math
Lucas Ball-5th Place in Math
Callie Wagers-3rd Place in Social Studies
Joshua Gray-1st Place in Science
Ethan Gray-5th Place in Science
Madison Parman-2nd Place in Language Arts
Anna Hoskins-4th Place in Language Arts
Madison Parman-4th Place in Written Composition
John Philip Begley-1st Place in Arts and Humanities


Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to Madison Proffitt for winning the Johnson Elementary Spelling Bee and Draven Fuller for being runner-up.  Both students competed in the Laurel County Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 12 at South Laurel Middle School.

Madison Proffitt was the Laurel County Spelling Bee Runner-Up.  CONGRATULATIONS MADISON!!!!!
