International Dot Day is celebrated each year on September 15th. It is centered around the book, "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds. In the story, a young student, Vashti becomes upset in art class because she doesn't think she can draw. Her teacher challenges her to "Just make a mark and see where it takes you." Hazel Green students celebrated Dot Day by wearing dots and by doing a variety of creative activities centered around dots. Our students enjoyed "making their mark" and we can't wait to see where they go as they grow as students and learners!
