Hello! My name is Mrs. Bray and I teach 4th grade science at Hunter Hills Elementary. This is my third year teaching and I am so excited to see what new adventures lie ahead. I am excited about teaching all students that they can become scientists through questioning, wondering, and experimenting. I truly believe that staying curious and working hard makes the greatest of scientist no matter the age.
I constantly remind my students that there is such power in trying and pushing through difficulties. In my class, we believe in the power of YET. In fact, it's our motto. I know with a growth mindset, we are truly capable of accomplishing anything.
In order to be successful this year in 4th grade, there are some things you can do to help. Please make sure your child is reading 20 minutes a day. Also, practice exploring and questioning science topics in real world situations. Watching online resources, such as Bill Nye and Mystery Science can be great additions to furthering your child's science education. I look forward to a truly great year.
