Annette Albright, Physical Therapist

606-862-4608

I am a 1984 graduate from Laurel County High School.  I then went to Eastern Kentucky University where I received my Bachelors Degree with a major in Biology with a Chemistry minor in 1988.  I then attended the University of Louisville and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy.  I had a job waiting on me in Hopkinsville, KY where I worked in an outpatient clinic and also served, nursing homes, the local school system and home health.  I returned home and began working in an outpatient clinic while also doing some PRN at a nursing home and home health before I began contract in the Laurel County and Clay County School Systems in 1994.  I also serviced Jackson County School System one year.  In the fall of 2000, I ended my contract with Clay County School System and then began only servicing Laurel County School System where I have been ever since.  I have also done contract work periodically in outpatient clinics.

Thank you for visiting my page. I hope all my students are doing well during this time.  I know it is difficult as we are all having to wear many different hats and be our children's parent as well as teacher, doctor, playmate, therapist, etc.  This does make it difficult to  carry out therapy activities.  Please know I am here for you and you are welcome to call if you have any questions.  Call the Garland Building at 606-862-4608 and ask for me.

Please find the linked resources to the left for help in making your time at home constructive.  These are only suggested activities so please use your own judgment as to which activities you feel comfortable with your child performing based on their own abilities.  Each of my students plans are individualized which makes it difficult to find ideas, but I know many of you have been going to outside therapy and have been trained already on many activities for your student.  Please don't hesitate to call me if you have a question.  PLEASE DO NOT DO ANYTHING YOU DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE OR TRAINED TO DO!  Thanks for all you do.

If your child has Physical Therapy,  your child has an individualized education plan which you were given a copy of by your school.  Please review your child’s goals and related services which will assist you on how to spend your time building your child’s skills while we are apart.
