Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art. -Andy Warhol
About Me: My name is Melody Curry. I've been married to my husband Travis, for twenty-five years. Together we have two children. Samuel is seventeen years old and Caroline is fifteen years old, both attending South Laurel High School. This is my 17th year of teaching with the Laurel County School System.
Art Rocks! This class is a hands-on and minds-on learning environment. We learn the elements of art, cultural art, famous artists, and introduce children to art mediums that they may have never used before. The assignments connect with real-world experience, other academic areas, and sometimes its just about creating. I want art class to be a time of day/week that your child looks forward to. I am thrilled to be creating art along side your children!
Good Monday morning kiddos! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I love seeing all your wonderful art projects. I'm so proud of each and everyone of you. This is our last week of assignments before summer break! Grades 3-5 will finish the animated parrot and K-2 will work on finishing up any unfinished assignments. Have a great summer break!
Also check out Art on the Web if you need additional assignments.
Please try to submit your completed assignments through this website or my email, email@example.com.
Creating art can relieve burdensome stress, encourage creative thinking, boosts self-esteem, and provides a sense of accomplishment. Let's continue to create!
