Principal's Message

As a former Bush Blue Devil (1986-1992), Bush Elementary always has and always will hold a special place in my heart. My family has a long history with Bush dating all the way back to my grandfather who graduated from Bush High School. Most of my family members, including my husband, father in-law, mother, two sisters, six aunts, four uncles and numerous cousins attended Bush spanning the past 80+ years. Summer Reading Is Back Summer Reading

Come and join us for Summer Reading in the library! Summer Reading is open to all Bush students entering 1st-5th grades.  Students may read and take Accelerated Reader tests that will count toward their 2022-2023 grade level AR goals.  

Notes for those planning to attend summer reading:

***To make the most of your reading time, please email Mrs. Vaughn ( with your chid's name and upcoming grade level so that she may get the student AR account ready for testing!

***An adult must accompany the student while reading in the library!

***Please note that summer reading is only for Bush students entering 1st-5th grade!

Summer Feeding Information Summer Feeding Logo

More than 2,000 meals sites across Kentucky provide breakfasts, lunches, snacks and suppers each summer through the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).   For program information visit the USDA Summer Food Service Program website and the KY Kids Eat website.

Starting June 1, text the word “food” or “comida” to 304304 to locate a Summer Meal Site for children. When prompted by text, enter a specific address and a list of local meal sites will be provided.
