Hazel Green Elementary students in Mrs. Stenger's 4th-grade class and students from her class last year enjoyed a special virtual visit with author and illustrator Peter Brown.
Students have been reading Mr. Brown's book, The Wild Robot. The fictional story focuses on a robot that becomes stranded on a remote island and must learn from the island inhabitants to survive. Mrs. Stenger's students were one of only 45 groups chosen in the United States to participate in the Zoom meeting.!
During the Zoom meeting, Mr. Brown explained how he writes and draws his books. Then students, had the opportunity to draw with Mr. Brown!
