Superintendent Denise M. Griebel was joined by Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Kidd, Principal Brent Collins, students, and members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (John and Mary Jackson Chapter) in the Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary library on Thursday, Sept. 10. Superintendent Griebel signed a proclamation designating Sept. 17–23 as Constitution Week, honoring the historic signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.
As part of this annual observance, the DAR chapter generously gifts an educational bookmark with the Preamble to the Constitution to every fifth grader across Laurel County Public Schools.
