The Laurel County Schools Center for Innovation (CFI) is proud to announce that Zeke Boggs and Dustin Owens have received the Stanley and Karen Pigman Engineering Scholarship and the Stanley and Karen Pigman Engineering Technology Scholarship, respectively. Both scholarship programs are more than just financial support; they are all-inclusive engagement programs that include personal mentoring, special classes, leadership, guidance, study abroad opportunities, and industry and career support.

Stanley and Karen Pigman understand the immense impact of higher education and financial support. Stanley was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and received a scholarship to study mining engineering at UK. He credits that scholarship as changing the trajectory of his life. Since then, Stanley and Karen have committed to transforming the lives of students from this region for generations to come.

“Zeke and Dustin are outstanding scholars and will do well in their chosen career pathway at the University of Kentucky,” said Dr. James M. Davis, CFI Principal.
