October’s enrichment project was PUMPKINS! We spent the day learning about pumpkins and their life cycle. We read the book “Pumpkin Jack” and sequenced a pumpkins entire life cycle on a hat. Then we observed a real pumpkin that I carved, and touched the pumpkin “guts” and seeds. After we washed up, we sealed “Jack” in a glass jar with a little water and soil. We plan to let him decompose and *hopefully* become new pumpkin plants in the spring.
Our friend Kiera came by and taught a great lesson with all sorts of cool pumpkin facts. She even gave prizes and treat bags.

Congratulations to our winner of the Potato Book Character competition and thank you to everyone who participated!!
